I found an interesting collection of golf courses on the internet at Albrecht Golf Guide (1golf.eu). It lists the most favourite golf courses in Europe in 2014 according to a survey of over 1,000 players from 36 nations. I don’t have any evidence about the way they came up with this list or where the interviewees actually came from, but it is a very good indication about last year’s golf destination trends.

Surprisingly very few UK courses among them, many Spanish, many Austrian and even quite some German courses. Turkey is on it as well, although Turkey is not even in Europe but hey, who cares…

Three of these courses I have already played (in bold), and at least one other is on my list for this year. But frankly, I really should golf travel more to get more great courses in the books.
