When I moved to Frankfurt in 2008 after graduating from university I figured it’s time for new golf clubs, so I looked around and after some research I got my hands on some nice Nike Golf Sumo Sasquatch clubs, a great game improvement set.

I bought the iron set (4-SW), two hybrids, a fairway wood and the driver. Plus everything else I could find with the black-yellow Sumo logo on; bag, umbrella, ball marker, towel, etc. The full package. And it still looks amazing!

Latest additions to the set have been a new putter as I gave my old one to a fellow golf blogger and I equipped the new one with a fantastic yellow Scotty Cameron putter head cover. Over time I lost a head cover for one of the hybrids but all in all I can say that this set still is in immaculate condition.

Unfortunately I don’t use them that often anymore but these clubs will most likely stay with me forever and at some point I will store them in my weekend home and play them at least on holidays.

All clubs provide a great forgiveness for off-center hits. However, due to the immense super moment of inertia (hence SuMo) the ball comes off the club quite springy. This is good for high handicappers but at the same time this leads to a lack of feel and distance control.
