The Europeans usually take a bit longer and today’s announcement was long awaited. The Northern Irish Darren Clarke will captain the European Team at the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National GC, Minnesota, USA.

Clarke obviously is over the moon after the official confirmation by the Euro Ryder Cup committee. The Europeans were really strong on the last occasions and he will definitely feel the pressure to continue with the success.

The Americans will most likely announce Davis Love III to captain the US team.
